Default junkyard lift advice

I'm thinking about doing a 4.5" lift or higher but getting parts from the junkyard to do it. So what parts would I need from what vehicles to do this?

I have a 2000 XJ with a 3" RC lift

thats a good article. If you do a bunch of searching there are tons of write ups on junkyard lifts. My rear leaf pack consists of a 3in AAL with extra cherokee main leaf and 2in shackle and it rides great even with the AAL mine sits right around 6in

That is a great link! Lots of awesome info!

So since I already have a 3" lift, would I be able to add 2" coil spacers to the front and 2" lift shackles to the back?

If I did it that way would I need an sye kit and new driveshaft or could I get away with putting the rear able on a better angle?

What you're gonna need is an aftermarket track bar. And yes probably and SYE. But you can use a junk yard drive shaft from an xj or zj

Are the drive shafts different lengths? I wish sye's were cheap.

SYEs are cheap...

If you don't want to buy an SYE you can just buy an Atlas. They come with a fixed yoke.

$200 for an sye isnt cheap to me. I'm sure an atlas is way more expensive.

You can get them for $175 shipped if you're on a budget
