Junk Yard lifts
so i set out to find what relatively simalar suvs and or trucks
have close to the same weights.
what ive found
:1988 Ford Bronco Xlts.:
Stock sits much higher than an xj
but the fun part the Xlt weighs just about the same as a Xj
at just about 3500lb-3700lbs depending on the package ect
:1980s Ford f-150:
wieghts 15000lb-17000lbs
so theres a stiff ride but will lift
:1991 Ford f-150:
little closer to the 3300 or so of the xj
at 6000lbs still gunna be stiff but really close
these are just some that ive started with cause fords are easy to get at
im pritty sure im gunna swap out my springs with the broncos for a really close match to stock feel
but i want to see what you guys think and have your imputs on other cars parts we could use to lift
have close to the same weights.

I put a set of f150 springs on a ZJ for a week, yanked them off then called a chyropractor. Absolutely no flex and was lucky my teeth didn't fall out.

Wish you luck but be prepared for a very harsh ride. Only Bronco that has a curb weight close to an XJ is a Bronco 2 and I don't think that's what you are talking about.

snag a set of those, and build a bastard pack with your stock main leaf and some s10 leafs, or put some dakota leafs under the main xj leaf. Those will give ya a MUCH better ride than something with an older fords spring rate.
