::JK Rubicon Shocks Upgrade or Not::
I am in contact with a guy on another forum that is selling his JK rubicon shocks for pretty cheap. They have like 5000 miles in them or something.
I now have a 3" lift and have the rough country nitro 9000 shocks. And the ride quality sucks. My question to you guys is....
Will the JK rubi shocks REALLY give me that much better of ride quality? I have driven in a rubicon JK and the ride was very planted and comfortable. But I am not sure how much of an upgrade it will be on a short arm 3" lift xj.
Could really use the advise guys!
Thanks so much!!

is it a better enough ride to make it worth $75? My jeep just rides worse than stock with this RC lift. And i don't know if it is the 160lb coils or the shocks or the control arms being at an angle now. if i am going to get Bilstiens in a year and a half when i need new tires?
Thanks for the help guys!

The rubi jk shocks are the same as a non rubi jk...just painted red! It's part of the rubi package. It supposed to make people think they are getting an "off road" type shock...basically to fool people. Good ole Chrysler.

also the RED ones have a higher gas charge as well
there are some noticable differences in the valving and the compression/rebound... you can feel the difference in how they ride too...
however ALL the black ones are twin tube low pressure, and the red ones are monotube high pressure
I hope that helps some
