JK rubicon shocks on 3.5" RE lift
I know this has been asked a million times, but I cannot seem to find a solid answer. Has anyone used JK Rubicon shocks on a 3.5" RE lift? A guy in my area is selling them for $50. It would be temporary, maybe 6 months.

Theyll work as a temporary solution but they wont bolt right up, iirc off the top of my head i had to use bar pin eliminators on thr fronts and i used them on the rear since i already had them

Yes, they will work. I put them on mine until I upgrade at a later date but they work fine, assuming you aren't super-flexing it on the trails.
You will have to push the metal inserts out of the bushings and add the bar pins from your old shocks.

My advice will probably be something you dont want to hear, and will **** off some. And some will agree with me . So here it goes :
If your installing a decent lift or any lift dont half *** it, It'll cost you more in the long run . With that being said to ensure you get proper length shocks I suggest you get the lift installed and flex out the jeep (with swaybar disconnected) Measure shock mount to shock mount on the extended side and on the compressed side, Then take those numbers and buy the proper length shock. There is a reason I was able to outflex and embarrass some long arm rigs at a jeep show last week on the articulation contest with my short arm XJ and SUA YJ . Both of my rigs were in the top 10 of 40-50 rigs my XJ got 7th place and the YJ got 9th

well obviously but tough times call for cheap temporary solutions that im guessing is going to be mainly for dd use and not an rti ramp so yeah, the jk shocks will work fine for you and you wont mind the ride either.
