Axles may not be ideal but it will be real good learning experience for ya and future projects, be sure to make a build page and good luck!

Ehhhhhhhhhhhh...
Seems like it would have been smarter, easier, cheaper, and better all around to find a nice set of different axles at a junkyard. D44/D60 perhaps? Mucho strongero.

Guys come on- I think he knows by now that there are better axles out there. BUT he already bought these ones so instead of telling him they are junk why not help him make them better?
I would go with which ever yoke uses a bigger joint. I have no clue what a jk uses.
You gonna buy brackets to weld onto the new axles or make your own? Or reuse the your old ones?

I'd go for the JK axles. Look at it this way. The Jk is heavier than or XJ. Now if those axles handle 35s and 37s regularly than you should be fine. People always have opinions on modifying but its yours so do whatever you want and enjoy!
