Sorry I can't do videos but don't ever do full lock. Pump literally can explode. How does it work/sound excluding full lock? Due a fluid change just for general principles.

It's got new fluid in it I put a reman box in it a few months ago the pump is the original one and it's just a loud chattering noise and it seems to constantly go along with the power steering I'm considering a Psc box because these reman one sucks

Can you repost your video? Then let's see if someone replies after listening to it. From your info it seems you may be needing a new p/s pump. Not too costly after you take the core charge out.

Following on from this, i've been having some power steering issues too. It turns nice and smooth when I have the throttle applied, but when parallel parking it often has problems when I need to get into somewhere tight, especially when using the brakes. It seems almost like the power steering turns off if power has been diverted to brakes, if that makes any sense.
Will a new p/s pump fix this?

You sure your belt is ok ? That almost sounds like a serpentine belt that is flipping one rib on a bent/damaged pulley.
Full lock WILL make any noise like that worse, as it is when the max load is on the P/S pump.

I hadn't thought of it being a belt issue. I do have 252k on the engine so that is very possible.
Is it a easy fix at home to replace the belt and pulley?
