Iron Rock track bar bracket gap
I started installing my iron rock track bar bracket and I have a problem that I ran into. I'm not sure if this is normal but the bottom of my bracket and the frame have a space between them. Was I supposed to get some kind of spacer with this kit? Here's a picture of what I'm talking about

There is not supposed to be a gap there. There is no spacer for it.

I just installed mine yesterday and it worked out well with no space. Did you try tightening a bottom bolt because it looks like it will slide up?

It will not slide up because of the upper bolts near the spring. They are tightened and this is how it is sitting

I didn't want to tighten it up because it looked like it would put too much pressure on the studs up by the spring. Something will bend or break if I try to tighten the bottom bolts

Might just be the pic, but it looks like it's only 1/4" or so gap. Should tighten right up with the top studs loose (unless the holes prevent it from going up?) On another note, replace those bolts man, they look pretty rusty, should be less than a dollar each for some properly graded metric replacements.

Read about 15 pages and all I can say is wow... He should of taken the master cylinder off and hit the nut with a 1/2" impact gun like I did when I put my lift in. Sure the bolt broke but it wasn't like i was going to be reusing that shock.

I think if you back off the other bolts and tighten them evenly you should be fine. Just like you would tighten lug nuts or u-bolts.
