Default IRO steering or JCR

Which would you prefer? Im torn between the two. i like iron rocks setup because of the solid rods, but i like jcr because of the availability of the tre's. What are the opinions of others on these two kits?

I'd vote JCR if it's between those two. You should also check out Serious Offroad. He makes great stuff as well.

SeriousOffroad has a setup where a straight drill bit and inserts are used instead of having to buy and use a tapered bit. As a beginner that sounds less intimidating to me.

ive got serious . it works. and it was cheaper than the other guys by a good bit and he is a cool dude to talk to on the tele. super helpfull even for stupid questions that most would be annoyed w.

only suggestion i have is buy a goooooood drill bit if do the inserts. the knuckles were easy. the aftermarket pitman arm must have been made adamantium cause it literally took chunks out of my tractor supply drill bit. i gave up and had a machine shop use thier carbide bit .

also i was lazy and didnt paint it and now looks kinda pooptastic but thats my bad i should've puff canned it.

if i had a do over id find a person with the 1.5 in per foot reamer and ream all my crap to match the rod ends . but hey it works . zero complaints on franks merch.

i have the JCR one ton kit on mine and its excellent.. one of the best things i've done... the re-reaming of the knuckles and pitman arm weren't that bad... i used a digital caliper to get my measurements right for th reaming

Whatever you decide, please don't use Heims in single sheer on something that sees the road!

Love my Iron Rock setup with 5/8" hardware heims that has been on my jeep for over a year and see's highway use every single day. One of hte best upgrades i've done. Pure BEEF and absolutey ZERO flop. When installing it though, make sure you have your clamps turned the right way.

No offence guys but... I don't really like the idea of having the draglink connected straight to the tie rod... It bothers the hell out of me to see that tie rod twist when you turn the wheel.

I meant that in a jokingly sort of way... I read it after I posted and it sounded kinda douchey...

Never actually seen yours in action, but know you as someone who knows what the hell he's talking about. Yours and JCR's kits look almost identical though. Really the only one I've seen like that was Rusty's so it seemed like being mounted to the tie rod was the reason?
