Default Iro steering issue

I just got the iro steering installed on my xj. Just noticed today the joints are sitting all the way down and my drag link sits against my tie rod. Anyone else have this issue?

Make sure the joints are loaded against each other. can you rotate the drag link? they are very close, and the heims will rotate and they may rub, its normal for waht I have seen with those. but if one heim is up and one down and the drag link cant rotate, then it will cause a problem

Yeah I can rotate it up and down but it touches the tie rod. I haven't noticed it driving just seems the heims may have loosened up our something

I have the same setup on mine. You have to hold the drag link up, rotate the heims all the way down on both ends, and tighten the hell out of that sucker. You don't want the bend any lower than the heim joint. Watch the clamp on the axle end, I had it turn around the wrong way and the bolt rubbed the inside of my tire when I turned left. Cut down a kl71, and that mistake cost me about 200 bucks to replace the tire. Once you have it in right though, it's an excellent setup.

np, I'll get some pics of mine tommarow. Just make sure that bend is at least level with the end of the bar, if not a little higher when you tighten that down. it'd help to have a good strong helper to hold it in place while you crank on that nut with a cheater.
