Default Interior painting-color change

Looking to paint my 95 XJ lower dash panel and center console.. I have the blue/grey now and want to go black on the lower dash and center console. What primer and paint should I use that's the most durable? I'm worried the center console lid will rub off.

Thanks

You can use SEM interior paint. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. The color will stick to most panels if they have been prepped correctly. If you're on a budget you could use Krylon for plastic.

For the center console, wrap in it vinyl or some other kind of fabric. Paints/dyes will not be able to handle the abuse a center console or armrest gets. I know from experience.

It's easy, I'm almost finished doing all the interior. I used rustolium flat black, and boy does it look great

I'm not too sure how to upload photos, but it's a flat protective enamel. Like 4 bucks a can, and drive flat. If I can find a way to upload a picture, I'll show you what my finished cargo area looks like

Krylon Fusion is made for plastic and works great. I used it on my exterior trim pieces and it hasn't faded or chipped or anything.

Just clean the area very well first, warm soapy water to get rid of any dirt, mineral spirits to get rid of any grease/body oil, let dry, couple of coats, done.
