which intake should i get?
ive found 3 intakes i really like idk which one to get tho its between these 3
http://www.quadratec.com/products/17006_7101_07.htm
i like everything about this one except the filtering element i'd rather be able to clean it rather then replace it
http://www.quadratec.com/products/17006_7100_07.htm
what i dont like about this one is that the intake is right under the vent on the cowl cover and i'd be worried about suckin in water
http://shop.trailheadoffroad.ihostne...ctid=XJCI91-01
this one is my choice as of now but idk about the filter itself being in the cowl
any tips pro and cons would be useful!
THANKS!

Idk, I don't have one. I like it because it's shiny so it will reflect heat waves, and the filter is in the tube and not in the cowl. I'll probably try and make one that is similar.

If you are trying to get rid of the stock air box I would go with #1. Would be good to run a dual battery in the engine bay. I don't know how much it would matters that it crosses over the engine (possibly warming the cool air you are looking for).
If you can keep the stock air box I would look at something like I did on my 98. I cut a hole in the cowl on the drivers side, ran a 3" tube from the cowl to a hole cut in the air box. Just sealed up the intake hole in the front and it was good to go. Drive through a downpour on the way home tonight, not a drop in the air box. Easy mod with good results for less than $20.
Good luck!

the spectre filter is reusable as well, not a throw away
I would go with the spectre for the price, actually I will be getting the spectre before my next smog (its carb legal) yay CA

CARB legal? I thought all the carb stuff was $500 more than the same stuff we get in America. :P

op if you have emissions tests in your state make sure the intake isn't gonna get you an instant fail like my current cone setup
