Default installed lift but i may have an issue with this. suppose to be this way??

i have a 1998 cherokee xj. 4 door, 4 wheel drive, 4.0l i6. i just installed the rough country 4.5" x series lift with full leaf packs. i noticed the lower control arms are almost about to hit the lower front shock mount bracket as seen in the pic. this seems like it could be an issue. is this normal? has anyone else experienced this problem or is there something i was suppose to modify?

Exact lift here. I thought the same thing, went to flex it, no issues.

Is it sitting on its own weight right now or is the axle dropped out? Usually the aftermarket control arms have bends in them to help clear that mount. If there are bends and that is how it looks at ride height then it might be an alignment issue. Do you know how to check your caster? Your axle might need to be rotated forward a little. Check your caster then try removing the shims behind your LCA frame mounts. This will allow you to slide the LCAs back, thus rotating your axle forward.

I am installing the same lift as we speak. Mine seem ok as far as clearance. Did you do anything with your bump stops?

im running RC 3" lift coils and a 1.5" coil spacer with aftermarket 3" fixed control arms. My control arms are close like yours and have no bend in them but i flex it regularly and have not rubbed them once.

Grind some of that metal away...wont hurt anything. I grinded as much as I could off, and also grinded the part on the axle for the trac bar mount...helps prevent those things from binding.
