Default injectors?

Hey guys... I have a 88

Changing injector sizes on the jeep would increase mpg or just increase power?

Also my friend has a 98, are there any 98 jeeps out there using other type injectors in their jeep?

I'm guessing both. My '98 has 703's & I have gained MPG's & power.

You need Volvo, injectors. I forgot the #.

88s have **** injectors which are prone to leaking externally and causing fires. They also only have 1 hole to spray from versus 4 holes in the later models. Don't expect a huge increase in horsepower and mileage with the later injectors. Go to the classifieds an CF and find a set of reconditioned 746 injectors. Buy them and install them with new o-rings.

For Renix the Volvo 746s seems to be the hot topic.

Someone doesn't know his newer model XJs!

Up until the end of the XJ they still used a single-hole injector. 91+ is essentially the same injector, with a change from JETRONIC to a USCAR connector in 1999. 91-98 the "Neon" 703 injector works, 99-01 the "Neon" 784.

You talking 'bout me?

I suffer from 2 maladies.

TLC affects me in the morning.

And TMB affects me afternoons and evenings.

Is there a more budget friendly solution?

Because dishing out $200 for a set of injectors is not on my list if to-dos

Contact Programbo here on CF. He used to refurbish injectors and knows which applications work best.
