Default injectors???

im looking for new injectors that i can get from the junkyard... ive hear of ford injectors and jeep liberty injectors but i dont know what models to get them out of or specs of the injectors. i want ones that will clip into a 96 harness but will work in a 98 motor.

i dont know what kind of injectors i need or what psi i need or what vehicles to get them out of.

can anyone help me?

I might be wrong about this but i think the only difference between the Chrysler 703's and the 784's is the clip from the fuel rail. So if im right, you would need the 703's. For the 24lb ford's i think they come out of a 5.0 maybe? and you need a regulator to go with them. There is or was an article in the vendor showcase of the FS section regarding the liberty injectors that he did a really long write up on. Heres the link for the liberty ones:

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/10-...bility-108854/
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f11/li...ectors-109444/

Heres a list for the 703's:

Here is a complete list for the 0280155703, 2.0L or 2.4L:

Don't run the 24lb's unless you've got a stroker. You'll just burn through a ton a gas. I would recommend 703's over the Ford 700/710's.

If you want them to plug into the 96 harness, you will need the 703s from a Neon. They have the USCAR connector. The 784s have a Jetronic connector that will plug in the 99+ wiring harness.

Both will give you higher fuel delivery and betterr atomization than the stock injectors.

BTW the Libbies are still for sale and listed in the FS section.

Yeah i love my 703's, noticeable change in idle and response. Nothing really in MPG or anything like that but for like 45 bucks or whatever from somebody on the forum, they work great. Nice shameless plug for the libbie injectors mr. seller lol jk

Be careful when you go looking. Dodge/Chrysler used these shorter injectors in all those same year/model cars that look and plug just like the 703's but are about 1/2" shorter so they won't work in an XJ.

no need to measure. Just make sure you get 703's. With the injectors still in the donor vehicle, look at he passenger side of them. The last 3 numbers are the one's you want to say 703.

How does your idle change? Just smoother?

What sort of "starting problem" were you hoping they would solve?

when i try to start my truck it just cranks and cranks... i have to give it gas to start it... i change my injectors, tps, crank sensor, ignition coil, iac valve, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, distributor pickup... i cant think of anything else... my buddy checked my o2 sensors and the second one stays at .92 and doesn fluctuate like the other one. thats the only thing i can think of and the only other thing i didnt change was my map sensor. also its a bitt of a dog when im on it. sometimes it starts fine and other times it bearly starts... idk what to do
