Default I'm a dummy

So awhile back, I pulled a rookie mistake and bought a RC 3" lift kit with new LCA's and AAL's. My rear end is sagging, which means it will sag with the AAL's in a years time. SOOOO, I am looking at getting new stock Leafs from quadratec.com for $99 a piece plus the main eye and shackle end bushings ($10 a piece). The leaf springs are "Heavy Duty" so they should work alright for an easy 3" lift kit. OHH on a little side note, I have a $200 gift certificate to quadratec and my credit card has been canceled due to fraud so I really cant spend more than $200, which is why I am looking on their website for parts. Should I buy the replace springs now, or wait to buy new 3" leafs after I apply for a new number?

for a while yes...your not gonna get the flex you do out of stock leafs with aal. your gonna get major sag again in the future. its just best to get a full leaf pack. pinching pennys in your suspension is not something thats best for your jeep or your long term wallet

Well I am a current undergrad student that is planning on going to med school, and with med school starting out at 50k a year, pinching pennies is something I need to be good at. The 3" lift would only be for about a year or two, once I can save enough for a long arm kit with an sye. You gotta start somewhere and I figure a cheap 3" lift is better than no lift at all

I have also been a victim of fraud. I bought something online and long story short, I guess some hacker got my card number and wasted $912 of my hard earned money. Best thing is to call and order things by phone. Back to the matter at hand, you spent money on an AAL. It happens but you get what you pay for man. I recommend spending the extra money and get a quality leaf pack like from Old Man Emu or Rubicon Express.

Well I didnt know they spent that much...I wouldnt be either. Check out http://www.dpgoffroad.com/
Based on my research this is a great seller and lots of knowledge about XJs. When I decide to lift I will be going to these folks.

I would buy full packs this very moment if I had a CC and I wouldnt use Quadratec, but since I have no money and only a $200 gift card to Quadratec, I'm kind of stuck...

So I think I'll just get the new pack and throw a LA kit on it in a year or so, or once I get a couple grand to buy everything haha

YES

I have a rough country 3" kit with AAL in the rear, mine actually sits a little higher (1/4") in the rear than the front...

it was a used kit... from a VERY low mileage 1997 XJ in the salvage yard

I would go to the junk yard (Pick-n-Pull or U Pull It) and get an extra set of XJ leafs, or even an S10 leaf pack, and build a mini bastard pack... you will have to play with it... but it can work just fine...

honestly the arch increase on a 3" AAL is not much more than the arch on a stock pack... it is the minimal arch increase and the extra spring rate and the extra thickness of the AAL itself that makes the Jeep set higher...

when I sat my AAL packs next my stock packs (that had a 1/2" sag) I thought... how is this going to add 3"? funny thing is it added 3.20"...
