ignition upgrades
alright i know there are performance upgrade threads already out there. i didnt see anything that was similar to what i am thinking about. i am not interested in puting a cam in my jeep or building a stroker at this time.....
my 4.0 already has header, upgraded injectors, and hi flow cat 40 series flowmaster and 2.5 inch pipe mandrel bent. so i figure it is time to get the ignition side caught up
what i am wanting to do is either get an accel or msd ignition coil and possibly the accel ignition tune up kits
http://www.quadratec.com/products/17610_04.htm
http://www.quadratec.com/products/55126_903_07.htm
now which coil is going to be better the msd or the accel?
the plug wires should be a decent upgrade with them being 8.5mm wires and im kind of on the rocks about the accel plugs. they are a copper core so nothing fancy which is what the 4.0 likes.

Leave the coil stock. Use cap and rotor with brass contacts, 8.5 wires can't hurt. NGK Copper plugs.

Because many people have reported failures of aftermarket coils. That, and the fact that the ignition system used on our Jeeps is already quite powerful.

What Cruiser said. The ignition coils on the 4.0 is way overkill for a stock engine. You would notice minimal increases by going to an aftermarket coil. The biggest thing would be to clean up the contacts on the coil as mine love to get corroded.
