Ignition Switch?

i have a 1990 XJ jeep and the ignition switch it stuck in on mode. It wont turn off or anything. I also figured out earlier i didnt need a key to start the jeep. Any tips on fixing it, or a way to turn it off other than disconnecting the battery?

Nope I believe your between a rock and a hard place. Replace the switch and in the mean time your gonna have to pop your battery cable off. Good Luck!!

unhooking the battery or MAYBE unplugging the Ignition coil may turn the jeep off......

Xjs dont like ignition switches you should either replace or do what i did and run a kill switch to shut everything down

my ignition switch went out on me in the on position, i used both hands and an elbow to pry the key back to the off position before tearing apart my steering column to get to it.
once it was replaced though, slides/turns easier then ever.
