I want to build a bumper like this.
Anyone built a bumper like this? I like the skinny look so it will match my rear. It looks like great approach angle also. But I want to tuck in the winch close to the front as possible. I took out my condenser so maybe cut the grill out for it? I don't have a winch yet so I don't know how much space the winch will need. Any advice on tucking winches or how much room I need? Any advice? Im mocking up the brackets this weekend. thanks

Here is a link to my bumper build:

It is not as small of a profile like the one that you show but maybe it will give you some idea of what I did that might help.
I didn't want to disturb the air flow to the radiator so I tucked the winch in a little lower than what you show.
Good luck

Put the winch behind the bumper between the frame rails. You'll get a better approach angle by keeping the front of the bumper closer to the grill than you will by making it not as tall.
Mine looks like this:
I haven't mounted the winch yet but you get the point.
It sticks out this far.

No, I haven't installed the winch yet. Yes, I'll have to cut the cross member. What do you mean the winch will be too tall? You have to relocate the solenoid box to under the hood.

I meant the original bumper picture the winch would be sitting high and blocking the radiator. I'm going to copy your hidden design minus the tube. I like N20jeeps bumper.thanks for the idea..

I did tube on this one since I have tube sliders.
On my trail rig I'll be making the same concept out of rectangle tubing since I have rectangle sliders and rear bumper.
It's all about the looks, ya know.
