i think its time to cut my fenders
so I did some pretty sweet wheeling last weekend and the whole time I kept hearing my tires rubbing my fenders when I would get pretty flexed. I looked at the flares after and I stuffed em so hard the plastic broke underneath.
Here is my dillema... I want to cut the flares off and trim the fenders. but I don't like a lot of rigs i've seen because you can see all the cuts and it looks cheap. Whats the cleanest way to do it so that it still looks slick?

x2. plus on top of that you could either go with some aftermarket fender flares after cutting, or you could cut them then mask of around it and put some bedliner on them to keep the cuts from standing out.

nope just plenty of care taken to cut/trim nicely, fold making it smooth, mask it off and bed line it. Its pretty much the same for the front minus the folding.

just lift it higher or get new flares. I live in CA too and the cops don't like tires not being covered. Just a word of advice.

^^ah in norcal too?? sucks man I dont wanna cover them up
OP mine turned out nice. I just jumped right into it too. you can see the C/F at an angle. all depends on how bad you want more room to flex.
easy decision...

New idea.... I saw a guy with cut fenders but with a piece of trim over the edge.
I'm new to working with this kind of stuff so I don't know if my idea is good or not.
I'd like to cut the fenders, cover the edge with some black trim and bolt that on with a bolt pattern similar to bushwackers.
anyone with suggestions or concerns with this??

theyre busted.... the plastic is cracked and broken so i'd have to get new stock flares. I'll look into it but i want to see how ideal the custom trim thing is
