Default I think I ordered the wrong parts.. help?

So I ordered 4.5 zone leaf packs, and 3.5" RE coils (everyone said they were really 4.5") so in my mind that would make it level with stock shackles. But now I'm being told that the shackles add a little height and it'll be too high in the back. Do I need to get rid of the 4.5 leafs and get 3.5s?

AFAIK, Zone doesn't make a 4 1/2" rear spring. It's a 3" spring with a shackle.

Oh crap, my bad, RC 4.5 leaf packs. It's the shocks that are zone. Sorry, it's late lol.

I just need to know if it's gonna be too short in the front

Lift springs require 'longer than stock' shackles to function properly.
For 4.5" lift, use 3.5" springs and 1" shackle.
The more arch in the leaf, the rougher the ride. The 3.5" springs will ride better than 4.5"
RC leaf packs tend to be a bit short, length wise.

why not just get the matching 3.5 inch RE leafs and 1 inch shackle? they're better leafs and the ride will be a lot smoother.

then if the rear is too high, you can simply just add a 1 inch coil spacer or double up on the isolators.

I agree with this.

Unless you like to feel every bump and crack in the road, you'll hate the RC leaves. Plus, they tend to be too short, so you would need a shackle relocation kit as well. I'd return the RC leaves and get RE.

Idk how I can return leaf springs unless Morris 4x4 will pay return shipping because they're obviously heavy as ****, but I'll see what I can do. Wish I would've known this before I ordered

That's why it pays to read, read and then ask questions for a few weeks till your able to make a good decision on a lift kit.

Easy to see you did none of those, from the quality that you bought and not buying what was needed for the lift. You could have bought a complete lift all included 3" for $438 full leaf/coil/shocks/hardware package and all made in NA.

I hope you are ready to spend quite a bit more if you lift it to 4 1/2" over a 3", it cost me over $3.5k to increase mine from 3" to 4 1/2" using my base Rustys 3" kit. Lots of parts to do it right.

Actually I did, but no one told me about needing longer shackles, this is the first leaf sprung vehicle I've ever owned. And btw I got extended brake lines front and rear, the 4.5 packs, 3.5 RE coils, a spartan locker, and shocks, for $626 total. So I'd say I did pretty damn good. I already have a SYE so I'm good there, One ton currie steering with a durango box, the cooling system is gone through, and the tcase is freshly rebuilt. I'm not an idiot I work on cars for a living just never been a 4x4 guy til now. I'm a dirt bike and street car guy by nature.

And where is this super high quality, all inclusive kit for $438? links?

Here is a longshot but works with OME springs. Call RC tech department, lol, ask them if the 4.5" leafs are 3.5" with an added leaf. Is so which one to remove to make 3.5" packs.

I think OME are designed that way to adjust appropriately for wieght. But i guess its worth a try to call. I would not bother returning them. You'll probably end up spending more than what its worth. Run them and go from there or sell them locally if you really want to get rid of them. Thats what i would do.

Rustys Off Road for the lift and all made in NA not China 3" full leaf/coil pkg. $438.

Sorry I came off wrong but see these everyday buying before asking about quality of parts and guys get burnt I just hate it. All the kits have $hitty shocks but will work for a while till you can buy better $400 and up for decent ones. It like all others is NOT all inclusive for a 4 1/2" kit there are other things needed adj. track bar, adj. u/lca's the list goes on then tires/wheels, gears, lockers, etc.
