I need help with getting or making skid plates bad.
I am on a major budget and can't afford to buy after market skid plates, but i really need them. I know the xj countrys came standard with them but i got a sport. If any one has any they could get rid of at a cheap price or for free, or they have plans for building them i would really appreciate the help. I need them for the tranny and differential the worse. Thanks

I need them cause my dad has suddenly gotten on my back about 4 wheelin in the jeep. It's mine but his name is on the title since I still live at home. I can't afford to move out though and when I move out that's when I fully get the jeep. So in order to continue my 4 wheelin in the jeep I must get skids plates other wise I will loose the jeep

What rear axle do you have? I have a diff slider listed on ebay right now for the Dana 35. Check out www.JCRoffroad.com for skid plates. Sometimes the coupon code PIRATE works for 5% off. check them out.

go hit the junk yard and snag the ones you see. forestry service jeeps have all of them all. front, tcase and gas tank. if you are really wheeling it might want to fab a belly pan up or at least some rock sliders. mine met quite a few rocks this weekend.

Go junkyard hunting. Any skid plates from ANY XJ will fit. Stocker are better than nothing. And if you cane weld, you can stengthen it and Make sliders.

What years XJ's came with a belly pan and a tc skid plate? I've never seen one. I've only seen the front skid for protecting the steering components and gas tank skids. And for the gas tank he should get the ZJ tank skid which is heavier duty. I did that to mine and I love it. Saved me plenty of times.

My 1994 came with the tcase skid, front skid and gas tank skid. I haven't got a clue what came with a belly I personally haven't seen one stock.

I've never seen the stock TC skid. Interesting. That's good to know. You learn something new everyday. I know they came with the front skid and the gas tank skids. I got the ZJ gas tank skid instead because everyone said they upgraded to that because it's heavier that the stock XJ one.

ALL XJs had front skid, TC skid and Gas tank skid available as an option. NO Belly pan are stock. The Front skid is worthless, unless you are using it to plow snow.
