I need some helpful ideas. This will end up being something that gets mounted in someone's trunk/cargo space as a complete system. What could I do to mount it all together? With 3 household water filters and a 3 gallon reservoir that is kind of tall and flat (that is the plan so far. I was going to use a reservoir I found from Risk Racing pictured below. I want to avoid having to fabricate metal to save time. I'm hoping there is something out there I can repurpose (that's always the cheapest option I have found) that will look professional. Any and all ideas are welcome and might spark my idea-generator.

I went looking around WalMart and didn't see anything that caught my attention as useful. What's on the front bumper right now is a cup holder of some sort I just have zip tied. I had to cut it to open it up wide enough to fit the water filter housing unit into it, and I'm using more zip ties to hold the arms together.

I've done it now. I'm at 80% improvement from mileage. I've gone from 10 to 18MPG. I'm back to getting the mileage I used to get with a stock 2wd 1998 Limited XJ I bought back in 2007, only with an extra thousand pounds of armor, tools, larger tires, modified engine and a high center of gravity with the lift.

On a normal factory engine, I expect those numbers to be higher. I have low manifold vacuum due to the supercharger and the vacuum is part of what assists the hydrogen output.

I have a prototype on the Jeep right now, but the final finished product will be a sleek professional looking install in the cargo space. If anyone is interested in buying one, send me a DM. I build the kit with the parts I order and I have to buy everything at retail so it's pricier than it will be in the future. The cost of the kit shipped to you with installation instructions will be $1400 shipped to your door, and there will be a noticeable increase in throttle response as well. That's part of how it works (it provides better combustion without the ECU adding fuel to counter-act it, and it's a power added so you need less throttle to accelerate; less throttle means less fuel as well).

In the future I will be able to drop the price a few hundred bucks once I have enough finances to mass-buy some of the stuff that's in the kit.

Update: I've managed to get the prices reduced through some re-investigation and changes on the parts list. It'll be $750 + shipping.

Can you kinda walk me thru what is actually happening here?
Beyond add water and get 18mpg.

Water vapor injection? HHO? on all the time? etc

It's on all the time. This is an acid based cell, not a base based cell. The base solutions are usually sodium or potassium hydroxide. They produce -OH (an oxidizer like oxygen) that essentially puts more oxidizing capacity in the engine (there is more fuel ignited). The O2's see cleaner burn and put more fuel in. The only gains you can get are when you use an electronic piggyback unit that offsets fuel trims to make the engine run a little leaner. Hydrogen gas increases an engine's capacity for running lean so there is no problem there.

The only problem with that setup is that I have found it hasn't done anything for the Jeep. Well, there was a brief period it did have a 4MPG increase, but it went away. One of my contacts who is a chemical engineer and has been working on developing hydrogen solutions for the past 12 years told me that when you use the hydroxides the potassium/sodium form with the carbon and sulfur from the fuel and PCV, and the oxygen and nitrogen from the air to turn into gunpowder. The largest available source of carbon when you first hook up a hydrogen system is what's built up on the valves, pistons and combustion chambers. After a while when that's as used up as it can be your mileage will drop. I've seen that happen a few times in between cycles of not using the hydrogen for a while. The vaporized electrolyte is partly key with those setups, but there certainly is a limited amount you can do with them. Too much and there is power loss and you have to give more gas, then the benefits are countered.

I'm not using hydroxides, I'm using acid based solutions which produces hydronium, H3O+. That in and of itself is an oxygen scavenger (the opposite of the hydroxides) and a combustible at the same time. The O2's see less oxygen and cut fuel trims, mean while you're burning more gasoline and actually putting in a more combustible fuel source. You don't even need electronics to play with the fuel trims because the vaporized solution takes care of that. You get more power with less pedal (that's where part of the fuel is saved) and your fuel trims will be negated instead of increased. Combustion engines are only about 20 to 25 percent efficient. That means you're using a fifth or fourth of your total fuel, the rest is being eaten at the catalytic converter. The extra fuel is burned there and that's why it's so hot. Even if you got double your gas mileage you'd still only be using half of the available energy content in the fuel.

It's not ran too lean yet, and the way I can tell is because I've used O2 extenders in the past experimenting so I know when it is actually running too lean. There is no power loss up to 15.5 AFR, and beyond that it plummets quick.

I'd like to get some testimonial feedback for the future web site so it hits the floor running. I'm going to sell just the main cell with the wiring and installation instructions for $150 shipped to your door. Message me if you're interested.

And if you want the full kit that trunk mounts with the secondary hydroxide cell and a 7 gallon container, it'll be $675 + shipping. Further trimming and eliminating some fancy items and replacing others I've been able to drop it a little. Refills are expected to be around every 32 hours of operation, probably 2-3 gas tanks (extended gas refills as well so you spend less time visiting the gas stations). Probably every 800-1000 miles.

Took a walk in the woods on Easter and figured out how to make the kit cheaper, although it will be bare bones. It would be $375 shipped to your door and mounts in the cargo area. Comes with a 1 gallon reservoir that requires a refill once every 3-4 days if you drive for about an hour a day. Has a solenoid that refills the cell from the reservoir with a float switch. Pictures will follow once I get it in the car, which will come after I find the electrical shorts in it.

Found out I have 8 different fuses draining at over 2 amps and the fuse box is clean. Looks like I have some interior trim removal to be doing today. Not looking forward to that in particular.

I have finally had the capability to get myself a professional setup. This is it. I have a business meeting in 2 weeks with a local construction contracting company about installing them in their trucks, and I have a contact that is going to get me a meeting with the local police department about putting one in one of their cars to test it out for a month. There is also another guy running a construction company that wanted me to contact him as well about it once I got it installed so he could see it that I still need to reach out too.

If anyone wants one send me an email at WaynePSanders@gmail.com. The cost shipped to your door is going to be $900. It increases both power and mileage. It's on my car right now so I can see what the mileage will be on it. Previously on the Cherokee I got 60-80% boost using the dual cell setup above. 80% when I drove for longer periods as it had time to warm up, 60% with more brief driving periods where it sat for a couple of hours and cooled. Now this was on a 4.6 with a supercharger and low manifold vacuum. A smaller engine with higher vacuum (like a 4.0) will see better mileage gains and more power increase than my setup. My setup is also on an engine that is new with all new parts, an older vehicle with worse gas mileage will also see more return (that's the main benefit of the white cell on the right). The cell on the left that looks like the surface of Jupiter is the main power adder that also boosts mileage and will benefit even a brand new car.

It will install in about 2 hours. Bolts right to the battery and it automatically turns itself on when the voltage raises above 13V, and shuts off when it sees a drop to 12.8V. It's a 7 gallon reservoir that needs to be refilled about every 14 hours of operation time. The cell on the right will come with a smaller 6 quart container that will be attached to the right side of the tank and require refill at around the same time as the primary cell.

In the future I'm going to get a before and after dyno to see how much power it's adding. In the future this will be a $1500 - $2000 kit mainly being sold to performance enthusiasts. If you want one for the minimum price now is the time. Once I become busy and don't have the time to keep the supply up with the demand the prices will start going up from there. It takes about 7-8 hours to make one these guys and I have to buy the parts at full retail so it's priciest for me to make them right now.

we’re now in the year 2024, and I’m seeing all these new kits out for vehicles, some reviews are bad sum reviews say they’re gaining at least 5 to 10 miles per gallon
