I think add on hydrogen conversions is a load of crap. Mythbusters did an episode on how to get more gas mileage and they tested the hydrogen fuel cell and it didnt work.

I would think that if anyone can get a hydrogen fuel cell to work it would be those guys but they didnt.

From everything I read results seems to vary ALOT from kit to kit and vehicle to vehicle and most of the time they dont do much. Alot of it has to do with kits that dont produce that much gas and computer systems in the vehicle that simply compensate for any fuel savings by dumping in more gas to keep a consistant fuel/air(gas) mixture. The computer knows what is best for the engine and you have to 'trick' it for the system to work.
At least thats what Ive observed from other peoples experiments.......

Guys! just think, if they did "get it to work" what would happen to your economy???? so of course they didnt get it to work. What makes their "failure" so suspicious is that even a kid with basic mechanical skill can "get it to work". I have blown up may baloons, and plastic bags etc etc sooooo believe me IT WORKS! question is, can it be used efficiently as a gas additive? now THERE is the myth! and THAT is what they should have tested! I am running one on my jeep, I will post results. Does it make hydrogen...HELL YES! is it explosive....HELL YES! VERY!........does your jeep run better....YES!....does your jeep run cooler....YES!....does it save you fuel?....MMMM DONT KNOW YET... WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW! p.s see my other posts on this subject, I can send you all plans on how to make one, and test it yourselves! Im bust making a welder from it too, it works great, but then it blows my generator to bits.....I need to work on my flash back arrestor (parts are hard to come by here in south africa)

Guess I should have been more clear... PM couldn't get it to increase the fuel milage of their test car on their more than generous test track conditions. I have read the other thread and I am waiting for verifiable proof from credible sources. I haven't seen any.. You have said you increased your parasitic drag by increasing the amount of amperage drawn from your alternator(unless the SA version of the XJ still uses a generator). That is only going to increase as you increase the amount of energy used. Also increasing weight with a larger electrolyte tank doesn't help you.

I believe it's called unity theory. I'm not sure how it works in this situation because you are using it to help an existing reaction to be more efficient. Your not really running the vehicle on Brown's Gas. It flames so much hotter and quicker that it makes sure you get every drop of energy from your gasoline.
