How to shim an axle?
So ive heard it everywhere "You need to shim the axle to correct driveline angle after lifting your jeep"
OK...how? Im assuming that means putting the shims between the leaf packs and the axle...but how do you measure what degree you need? Im doing a 2in lift if that helps

I dont remember what page the rear is on so you'll have to read, but that link will take you to the front adjustment.
Hope that helps

Do not just through 4* shims in. After over 20 years of lifting Jeeps I can tell you that if you need a shim it will be somewhere between 2* and 8*. No 2 rigs are exactly the same so what work for my XJ might or might not be correct for yours.
You MEASURE the the TC output shaft angle and the pinion input angle. IF no SYE (stock or with TC drop) the pinion angle should be 1-2 degrees below the output shaft angle. With a SYE the pinion should point 1-2 degrees below the output shaft.
