How much lift is needed on my 2001 Cherokee for 33in 12.50's?
I have recently bought a 01 Cherokee and I want to put 33's on it. I need to know how much lift I need to do this. I found a 3.5 in lift Im interested in but a buddy told me I could only do 32's with it. Can you put spacers on top of the new coil springs? I was thinking of putting 2" spacers on top but I dont know if that is a bad idea. If its ok then what all else do I have to modify besides my drop pitman arm? I was going to replace it anyways. Please help.

It all depends on if your going to trim your fenders or not? I have seen 33's on a Cherokee with no lift. But yes you could run 33's on 3.5 inch's tho you may want to trim a little metal if you want to flex at all.

Look at the lift and tire thread posted above there is a lot of good information in there that will help you get started.
That being said there are many factors you need to consider. It's not as simple as buying a lift and throwing wheels and tires on if you want it done right. Look at my build thread and feel free to PM me with any questions

just put a iron rock 5.5inch long arm on a friends 97 he has 33/12.50's on it just sitting and turning the wheels it hits front bumper caps so you got to remove them. then we flexed it out and it started grabbing the front fender so tomorrow we will be trimming them. soo i hope that will help you out
