I was replacing interior lights with LED's. Now for the two floor bulbs, after you remove the cap do these bulbs screw out or pull straight out? Or are the wired in somehow?

I did some searches on here but mostly info and pics after install... And I think I saw for LED replacement to use #1156, or 168? And with some styles you cant put the cap back on? These post were kinda old though, anyone know of an LED that I could still re-use the bulb cover? I had seen some pics where people couldn't put the cap back on and it created sort of a spot light effect on the floor mat. But ultimately I could deal with that rather than doing a new setup/strip etc..

Thank you, put in the 1156 led bulbs, caps dont fit back on but were probably for heat anyway. Light dispersion is great. I might just tackle the shifting area lights as well, hopefully thats an easy plug n play scenario..
