whats up everyone? would is be possible to make a homemade spindle? if so anyone got some pics or a write up? any thoughts/ideas/experience would help thanks

I have seen them made for 2wd stuff before but never a 4x4 home made.

why ? when you just buy already made ones. you would need a machine shop to make such a close tolerance part.

sorry it was last n i was half asleep when i made this post, spindle for a rear bumper tire carrier, and i have looked at buying new but every kit iv seen is over $100 and while i dont mind paying that i just feel like one can be made cheaper. but i understand the potential injury risk if the spindle isnt strong enough or tight enough. why im asking for opinions thoughts and or experience making one.

I've heard of people going to trailer places and getting spindles and axle parts then making their mount.

JCR offers a spindle assembly.

yea i like the jcr kit just again would rather not spend 100 on it, looking to cheaper options but if not thats the kit im going with.

Some people have made rear tire carriers mounted by two heim joints. Other than that you could do something cheap with tubing/solid round stock and use brass tube for the bushing. Wouldn't be as smooth but it would probably work fine and last a long time.
