hitch vs receiver bumper
Any opinions on a bolt on class III or a receiver built in to an after market bumper?

I too was weighing out the option, I spoke to a fellow that said he prefers the bolt on class 3 hitch as it offers protection for the gas tank. I would think that a bumper with a built in receiver would have better entry/departure angles. Depends on how hard you're gonna 4 wheel your rig

A good receiver bumper should tie into the 8 bumper holes AND the hitch mounts. A receiver bumper that mounts to just the stock bumper location is pretty worthless.

JCR off road told me that their hitch in their bumper will withstand more force than my jeep can provide. so that is what im going to go with when i get a rear bumper!

Stock hitch mounts to the frame rails and the rear crossmember.
