Aside from punching a hole in a vacuum line, I know of no other way to do something like this. You'd never catch me doing it though, running high RPM's on a (winter) cold engine is not exactly ideal. Is it the warming-up duration you're trying to resolve or us there something else going on?

Ya the warming up period, and or getting the idle up when running a compressor or other things

It should be possible on pre 97s. I wouldn't recommend it for cold weather warm up. Probably wouldn't hurt her but it's better to let her warm up on her own ButtTtttttttt, for accessories it's highly needed. Do a search and read the mod that's shown. Jt might say if it is for all years or just newer computer wiring

Theyres a wire going into the computer assuming if you have an automatic you have to tap into it and ground it out i basically tapped into the wire and ran a wire from the negative post on the battery to the switch then the wire from swith to the wire to in the computer

This was never resolved but i found it while I was searching. In case anyone else finds this thread via searching there is also this option:

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/cu...rigger-116149/

more or less its just the same thing as putting your foot on the gas peddle to keep the idle high. Instead its got bike gears on it so you can adjust it.
