HIDs only buzz then turn off, who has installed them
I am installing the Xentec Slim series HIDs, I plugged them in and they just buzz a few times like a bug zapper, if at all. I have heard something about disabling the stock auto light feature under the dash to make them work? Does anyone know about this or how to do it? If you don't have anyhthing pertaining to helping please don't post. I know there are plenty of HID haters. thanks

buzzing? well lets start here. do they trun on at all? both? one? how are they acting on you as we speak?
taking out your auto off relay stop the " FLIKERING " you would get when you fully turn OFF your lights.

You might want to try hooking them up differently.. My friend bought HID's for his truck and you actually had to hook them up wrong so that they would work, I forget exactly how, I attached the ballast to the head light the wrong way and it worked. So I can't be more specific but maybe try that if possible!

Sweet , thanks guys for all the comments. I am going out of town in the morn for a few days but will try some of this when I get back. I did not turn the Jeep on, just ACC and they would flicker a few times then off. The only way I could get to even do that was like y'all were saying with the wires wrong. Negative to the left side of the stock harness which should be hot, the red wire on top and nothing to right as its a low beam only kit. (this is not mine but pic just for reference of the locations I am referring) I don't think the amperage is an issue as the HID are less then the stock at 35 watt.
I will take pics of mine on Wednesday. Thanks again everyone.

They are working! thanks guys. I did just have to keep switching them until I found the correct polarity combo. Then there was a clicking under my dash. Turns out it was the auto headlight dimming switch. The fix was just to unplug the connector. Now I just have to work on aiming them correctly.
