Can a mod sticky some HID threads or make a summary thread that has links up top in the pinned topics? People are asking about HIDs every day now.
OP, please dont buy some hids and just throw them into 7x6 housings. Do a proper retrofit with a projector (no the ebay "Projector" housings arent the real thing). You can view my thread in my sig or if your Jeep is your DD and pride and joy, spend a few more bucks on some mini projectors and hardware from www.theretrofitsource.com and read all over www.hidplanet.com
Good luck!

Before you spend the money look up your local laws about adding hids,Some states have laws where its illegal to add them to anything that didn't have them oem.If you live in the city a good h4 swap with relays is more then enough light.

It's a really easy setup, many of us have done it and it can be a lot cheaper than running hid. Just a simple headlight harness upgrade (putco heavy duty h4 harness) will make factory sealed beams look better or get h4 7"x6" housing and run any h4 bulb you want.

I'm running the hella h4 housings with hella h4 100/80w halogen and I see just fine. Just make sure you align your headlights correctly.
This is the guidance I used when I adjusted my headlights after lifting the xj.
