Hid headlight question
I have the delta H4 headlight conversion on my xj and I just got an 8000k bi-xenon kit from hid nation, I ordered it without the relay or the canceller because they told me that unless I had daytime running lights they weren't necessary. Once I hooked it up and they worked I noticed that when I start the jeep the lights are always on even when the headlight **** is in the off position. They're are workin like I have drls which I'm pretty sure my 98 doesn't have since the lights didn't do this when it was stock or with the delta H4 conversion. How do I fix it so that the headlights only come on when I pull the **** not as soon as I start the car

My jeep had the same problem you have a timer on yours just like mine there is a timing switch hooked up to your lights (lucky us only on a few years after 98) but its not a big deal remove your speedo bezel trim piece and unplug the plug in these pictures. You do not need it plugged in all this does is delay then lights from going off which make the hids not turn on. Hope this helped

With those housings the answer is to put the halogen bulbs back in. You're just going to blind other drivers and cause more eye fatigue for yourself with the light being slagged all over the place.
Judging by your Screen Name you have a 98 XJ. Start by popping the top of your dash off with a panel popper if you want to remove the gauges. Look for screws from there. I don't remember without looking at my dash how to take it apart as I've only had it apart 2 times.

No need to take out the speedo just take off the trim piece around the gauges pops right off and also pop unscrew the panel under the dash there's two a plastic and metal one take both of those off its easyier to get at
