Default help please

So, without going into detail about why, I hit a stump at a high rate of speed. I have a 91 cherokee with about 6.5 inches of lift. I also have a transfer case drop. Long story short I bent the rim and destroyed the tire. With the destroyed tire, I could not engage 4wd with the new tire at first, she went into 4wd just fine, so I continued my journey to pull my buddy out when I got to him, 4wd would not engage again... the truck drives like norma l, and there is no damage that I can see, but it looks like the transfer case linkage is binding not due to damage, but to the transfer case drop. When i pull the 4wd lever back, I just by resistance about 3 inches back and it wont lock in. So i believe it is linkage, but what is odd is it doesn't look like anything is damage it looks like it should have always had this problem due to the t case drop. Help?
