Help me with 5"?
This is concerning an 87 with a 5 speed trans and D44 rear.
Currently the truck sits on a 3" BDS lift, coils and leafs.
I've got a set of 2" pucks and 2" shakles on the way to yeild the extra 2" of lift. Eventually I'll probably replace the coil spacers with full springs, but that shouldn't matter at this point.
The main question I have is about my drive line angles. I know my front end should be ok, and I'm going with the hack and tap in the rear, but so far I've been unable to come up with what drive shaft i'll need.
Will I just have to measure one the HnT is complete?

Another question I'm curious to learn about is how everyone feels this should get set up. Eventually id like to run 35s or larger on no more than 5", aiming for a LCG setup.
I'll eventually go with the V8 ZJ steering upgrade, unless someone feels there is a better option available to me...
What control arms should be run? I'm not against a long arm setup, but with the lower nature of the lift, I'm concerned with center clearance. I have heard complaints about getting hung up on the subframe mounting brackets. Thoughts?

Is there any steering issues I could need to address? And what of my control arms? Mid length? Adjustable? LA?

adjustable arms would help dial the front end in if there in the budget make sure they will work with 5 inch lift, drop pitman arm would help maybe just the jy one that drops one inch might be all and deff the v8 tie rod unless a new steering link set up is in the budget ,and dont for get adjustable track bar will be needed also, and gotta drop brake lines in front

Id like to try the V8 steering strip at first, them move up to a high steer setup maybe next summer?
I'm not made of money, and I don't want this to be down for the whole summer. Which almost sounds like a contridiction, but it is what it is. Im just trying to do this the most effecient way possible.
With that said, drop pitman arm, V8 steering, lca's and the eventual HnT and I should be good?
Lines are relocated to the max, see above pics...

Nice, yeah, the leafs are good, my rear actually sits slightly higher than the front. It just doesn't flex very well, something I'm hoping to remedy with the shakles.
