Help With Lift Parts
Guys, good evening,
I am putting together parts for my upcoming intended lift. I have run into a few questions I cannot find good answers to and was wondering if you can give me some feedback. I am looking at purchasing an RE 3.5” super flex kit with twin tube shocks, an RE track bar and RE front break lines, Tom Wood’s SYE and drive shaft kit. Cost is a concurn but I will spend what is necessary to do this right the first time. What I cannot seem to find any real answers on are regarding lower and upper control arms, and pitman arms. For instance the Rusty’s advanced 3” kit comes with upper and lower control arms however the RE 3.5” kit only comes with lower arms I have seen many posts that say the only real reason to change the upper arms is for strength however the vender I spoke with said that they highly recommend the upper arms to adjust pinion angle. Opinions?Pitman arm; I have read that the pitman arm is not necessary under about 5” of lift, if I was to install a pitman arm on 3.5” of lift would there be any adverse effects? Would the installation of a drop pitman arm effect the use or placement of the longer track bar?
I intend on making significant alterations to the vehicle over the course of about a week I want to do it one time have it be right and be done with it. Do you see anything I am missing? Should I get adjustable upper and lower control arms? Any different part recommendations?
If needed; Work I plan on doing for this project
3.5” Lift addressed above
Track Bar
Steering Stabilizer
Front Break Lines
SYE and Shaft (Tom Woods)
KJ or ZJ rear disk conversion
KJ or ZJ Proportioning Valve
17” JK wheels with (265/70/17 Hopefully)
Thanks,
Scott

I am aware that the wheels are 5 on 5 and not 5 in 4.5 and that adapters are required as i allready have them. At a total cost of $300 wheels and spacers were cheaper than any other wheels i could find with a back spacing greater than 4.75 and and a 17" diamater as a matter of fact i could find no wheels that met that requirement at any price point let alone $75 per wheel and free shipping.

You could have gotten the proper wheels for that price at quite a few different places with free shipping and others that will "Price Match" as well.
Summit and Jegs are always starting points when shopping.

Not looking to get into a pissing match here but i have not been able to find anything for less than $140 a wheel and they were ugly. It is a very thin market for a 17" alumnium wheel with 5" of back spacing at 8" or less wheel width and none that i could find at less than $100 each. Oh and look nice.
