Default help with AX15

So, about 6 weeks ago I dropped off my XJ at a shop to have them put an AX15 in it. They're having issues with the clutch disengaging - it won't disengage. They put in a new master and slave cylinder, bled it like crazy, power bled it (whatever that is) and the clutch still won't disengage. From what he says, this is a common problem with these transmissions.

Any ideas? Thanks for your input, i've been without a car for nearly 2 months now and i'd really really really like to get it back.

yeah, they probably put the wrong pilot bushing/bearing that comes with some of the new clutch kits. Have them send you a picture of the flywheel mounted to the engine. I call BS on "its a common problem". happened to me. My SACHS clutch kit came with an extra bearing that had no business there. Coincidentally, it fit on the flywheel

What year AX15 is it? Do you know if its internal or external slave?
If its external, maybe they aren't mounting the fork right (easy for it to slip off sometimes).
Get a picture of the master cylinder. See the clearance between the cylinder and the firewall, make sure its up tight and not flexing when they press the pedal.

Was the XJ originally a 5 speed or is it a conversion?(explains why ^ might be a prob)

just talked to the shop. turns out, the clutch was bad. now it drives like a champ and they have the wiring done....

Except it's getting a "no bus" error message now. The gauges all quit working on at a time and then some go flat and then it says "no bus."

I swear, the Jeep gods hate me. I am going to sacrifice a D35 in my backyard to make them happy again.

i guess i should add that they put in a new ECU. I have searched and I know the fix, but it started happening with a new ECU and injector harness, so it's likely that it's not the TSB fix.

Another detail - mine is a 2000, the manual ECU came from a 2001. They had to add 2 extra 02 sensors (4 total for 01, 2 for 00) to make it work.
