heims vs johnny joints
im in the process of getting everything together to build my own long arm but im stuck between either using johnny joints or heims im not sure which would be a better option a guy just brought in a johnny joint off his toyota rock crawler and it just peeled the thing apart so ive been kinda skeptical about that but i saw currie made chromoly billet ones and i would asume those would be stronger but im looking for somethin thats going to last with the least amount of hassle so any opinion would be great

I love ruffstuffs heims, used them for my steering and track bar but I'd do a johnny type joint on arms just for the simple fact that they are serviceable and rebuildable. As long as you keep them greased they'll last forever.

Where did you hear this? I've ran them for years and they've outlasted my QA1s and no where near the price. You won't find a stronger heim for the money, not even close.

I have heard nothing but good stuff about ruffstuff heims, I personally use FK..only cause i get the at cost.
Heis are great, last long..but can be a bit noisy from time to time..and tend to transmit vibration/shock into the chassis...could start to suck on a DD.
What kind of long arm are you building? 3 link? 4 link? radius?
