headlights/taillights question

I've heard of people taking out the yellow color in their headlights and taillights. obviously i would need to buy new plastic covers but what is the process of doing it/ how much would everything cost/ what does it look like on an XJ??

Thanks

Umm what?? haha

Do you mean the front marker lights? If so most people buy the clear or tinted lenses of ebay I believe.

As far as the yellow on the tail lights I believe most get a candy red paint with is translucent and then just paint over the red. Or then use the spray on tint, but not sure where you get it.

I think this is what you're talking about.

Front marker/turns yes you can buy clear or tinted lenses, but make sure you use a bulb that will illuminate amber to keep Johnny Law from hassling you. The clear/tinted lense still may be illegal in your locality though.

Never seen clear tail lights, unless you get reinforced tail light housing that use trucklite type lights. Then you could install clear lensed LED lights. Most get a translucent candy red paint and paint over the yellow, or a can of spray tint and paint the entire tail lense, I wouldn't recomend this as is could reduce the your visability to other drivers.

Use the search function, people have done it here.
