hd oem length shackles
Im getting ready to lift my 01 cherokee. I had the jeep on the lift yesterday to start spraying all the bolts with liquid wrench to loosen 14 years of rust. To get to the point I noticed that my shackles were pretty much roached out so i need new shackles but i do not want lift shackles just oem length. If i replace anything on my jeep i want an upgraded parts!
i appreciate any input

I've been looking for something like this as well. IRO doesn't have them on their site. Closest thing I can find is Tomken Machine, which give a half inch lift. http://www.quadratec.com/products/72519_808.htm

Yes, I found those on quadratec as well.... I suppose 1/2 inch is not that much but I would really like to find some that are OEM length. The only thing I could find on IRO were adjustable

Same here man, I guess someone could always fabricate a pair, but I don't have those skills or tools. Hopefully someone out there knows of a company that makes them. I think possibly the reason they don't, is because a longer shackle will help with the shackle angle on lifted applications, so most people don't want to use OEM length.

IRO has zero lift and 3/4" lift shackles. They are the same shackle. The zero lift hole in the shackle is a HD oem length shackle with a greasable bushing iirc.

Am i reading the price correctly $70 for one with no hardware! or is that for a pair. Regardless i think im going to go a different route. I probably will make my own or buy a different set and modify them. Thanks for the reply's!!

thats what i have been reading. I have a 4.5 lift and if i get longer shackles i will need to get coil spacers for the front. Which will make it a total of 5 1/4 lift. i was really wanting to go no bigger than 4.5. That's why i was wanting stock length. I guess bigger lift = bigger tires

Or bigger lift = less stability, more driveshaft issues, more steering issues, worse ride, more money?

I am well aware of what it takes to lift a truck properly. I'm a newbie to this sight but not to the off-road scene
