My entire Jeep is painted with the Duplicolor bedliner with desert tan spray paint over it. Love that stuff, SUPER easy to work with, very forgiving to spray, and the cans work in every direction but upside down. Plasti-Coat makes a rattle can bedliner that is pretty good also, but around here anyway it's a good bit more expensive. Rustoleum bedliner is absolute GARBAGE, there is no uniformity to the texture (realistically there isn't much texture period), it sprays horribly, out of the 3 cans I've tried neither of them would spray when held right way up, they would only work upside down, completely opposite of every other rattle can I've ever used, and on top of all that no matter what you prep with it will flake and chip badly if you look at it wrong.

You had a bad batch or something. My rustolom is holding up great after 2 years. I used 4-5 cans lots of light coats about 15-20 min apart

The primer is before scuffing. I was really happy with the result. Just hope it lasts... thanks for all the input.

Manufactured by Nates4x4. This one is sold off my XJ, but since I have bought so much from Nate he has offered me the opportunity to sell some bumpers. Brand new I can sell you this same bumper or a wrap around version that has 90 degree ends to match body , drop shipped to you for $315. That includes new hardware. Heavy duty 1/4 Uni tie ins, Brush guard, , D ring and light tabs. $420 retail value. $105 off!

I used both and it all peels away with the pressure wand at the car wash. Also absorbs muddy water and stains.

Strange. I have the Dupli-color on my hood and down the side of 2 of my XJ's. No flaking yet. Wash it at the car wash all the time.

I have a nate's bumper already. and it looked similar so that's why I asked. I love my bumper! that's what I sprayed the rustoleum bed liner on.

Quote: I just got my new bumper and want to bedline it . Picked up few cans of spray. Has anyone used this? Wondering how it looks/lasts and wondering best application method. I currently scrubbed with wire pads and primed it. Should I have used self etching or can I just scuff the primer ? Thanks

The above post smacks of spam. Who lists the part number of spray paint?

I've used the Duplicolor Truck bed coating on all my JCR parts.
Bumpers, gas tank skid, Rockrails, Upper quarter panel armor, and inside my fender wells.
Have had zero problems with flaking, and it's easy to touch up.
