Try a different hole?

Thoae dont look like stock shakles, so you should be ok.

get a new shackle, trim the bracket or move the shackle back a hole.

That's what I was thinking just move it back a hole but won't that kinda make the shackle relocation pointless cause the shackle angle will be back to like 90

ktmracer419 02-23-2012 01:42 PM

i would get a new shackle or trim the bracket before i move it back a hole

That's a good idea any input from people that are running this relocation kit what shackles do you have

THIS is why I want to make my own set. I don't get why they must be so adjustable. If they paired them with a shackle problems like this wouldn't come up.

This is very true

except for the fact that different leaf springs from different manufacturers are various lengths

^An adjustable shackle could surely sort that. We know the point needs to come forward. We know it needs to come down, only b/c they're trying to make a "bolt-on" part and the shackle box is in the way. This would also allow you to tune the height gain you're going to get.

I get why they do it. I'm just suggesting there is another way around that.

Agreed, but once you pick the hole you want, you can trim the rest off.

Anyone else that has this on there jeep able to chime in with what you have for a shackle and if you had to cut you bracket

I'm curious about this because I have the same shackles and was looking at getting the same relocation kit. I'd like to see what you do before I get a set now.
