Default Guys with Zone lifts please chime in

I have narrowed my lift selection down to a Zone 3" lift .My rear suspension is pretty much shot and if i'm gonna order new springs I might as well do a lift. My question is how have your Zone lift held up for you? Or do you wish you had gone another route?. I really don't offroad anymore and mine is a DD/weekend getaway vehicle. I do go offroad but it is to my hunting and kayak fishing locations, nothing that requires lockers...LOL...I'm really not wanting to do a SYE either that's why ive kept it at 3"..
Any comments are appreciated

I've had mine for a few months now and I'm happy with it. I got the nitro shocks and they are really nice. Front springs are stiffer than stock but I like the way it rides.

I've had my 3" zone lift for almost 2 years now and its doing great. I go on a lot of logging roads and back woods trails for hunting up here in Alaska. I'll go take a pic

I installed their 3" kit with aal, steering stabilizer and nitro shocks about 16 months ago. The parts are durable but it has been way too stiff for my liking. I still have the front coils with a 1" spacer and the shocks 20k miles later still in good shape. I however wouldn't buy it again if I did it over unless I had some serious gear like heavy bumper and winch, armor etc. I think they designed their kits with those type of add ons in mind.

If budget is a concern their price is definitely right just be prepared for a rough ride. For the record i added RR CaD brackets and HD Offroad shackle relocators and it still leaves something to be desired in overall ride. I highly recommend adding shackle relocators with your lift and the HD Offroad ones are a nice product and the vendor is superb to deal with.

I hear nothing but good about RE lifts and would be looking there if I was to buy a kit which I wont as next time I will be piecing my lift together for select parts.

Keep in mind Zone's kit doesn't do anything about your track bar, sway bar end links, rear drive shaft angle. Unless they have changed their package but I haven't looked at their site in quite a while. My kit didn't have these things.

Ive said in other posts it is all subjective but this is my honest opinion.

My zone lift was a little stiff at first but after a season of trail's it has soften up a lot. Tsaani97xj is right, i had to get my track bar, sway bar disco's,T-case drop kit, when i first ordered mine. It did good for the start.

But since then I've ditch the TC Drop kit, went with SYE, adjustable upper and lower control arms,RuffStuff steering box brace, Currie HD steering ,And added 1" rear shackle and 1" front coil spacer's to the zone 3"

I've had mine for a year. still great. I got the nitro shocks with it. there good enough. but not great. But they do the job good.

I had vibes after the lift so I ended up getting a SYE.

Here's mine with the Zone 3" with full leafs. I've added a RE Adj Track bar, RE Sway bar links, IRO Adj lower control arms, and Crown extended stainless braided brake lines. Currently sitting on 31x10.5x15 Goodyear Silent Armor.

The rear was super stiff (mostly due to poor shackle angle) so I removed the rear sway bar and it helped slightly so I'll be getting some kind of relocation bracket. The front is also a bit stiff but nothing you can't deal with or get some upgraded shocks later. All in all though I'm pretty happy with it.

Should help you in your decision. It helped me in my decision to buy a Zone Offroad Lift today.

If you buy a Zone Lift, get in touch with Allen's Offroad. Very competitive pricing!

I've had my 3" with AAL for about a year now. Very pleased with it. I've added a TC drop, RC track bar and lower control arms. And ZONE quick disconnects an 31" Treadwrights. Very happy with my setup!

x3, Allen provided fantastic customer service when I ordered my Zone 3" kit with full leafs and Nitro shocks. He helped me track down some UPS packages after some delivery issues. Gave me a great deal with shipping included, too.

Just got my kit on last weekend, and so far I'm very happy with it. Also, you'll want to look elsewhere for an adjustable track bar, and lower arms don't hurt either! I got the IRO adjustable double shear track bar, and adjustable lower control arms. I'm very happy with it so far and it rides great.

My to-do list post-lift:

1. Figure out exhaust banging against leaf spring
2. SYE & transfer case swap
3. Extended brake lines...possibly. I've been doing fine without, but haven't done much flexing or rock crawling yet.
4. Double-check torque on all bolts
5. Loctite track bar bracket bolt.

That's been my experience so far, hope it's helpful!
