GRINDING NOISE
So when I am driving, I have this strange grinding noise, ONLY when I let off the gas and let the jeep coast. It's kind of like the pitch goes down as I go down in speed. Could it be the transfer case chain? A U joint?
I have a ghetto lift with 33x12.50's on 15's the lift is equivalent to 4.5 ish
Please help it's driving me nuts it scary as ****

it could be all kinds of things wheel bearing/axle bearings pinion bearings. your differential gears. transfer case chain. u joints. take a look at u joints as they're out in the open and require no dis-assembly unless suspect. look for signs of rust around the caps. or even missing caps. try to find if its front or rear. and maybe start at that differential/ axle

Took it to a shop, cause I was going nuts already, they said it was the transfer case chain. They're gonna open it up on Monday to see
