Hey guys - I found a 2001 Grand Cherokee throttle body at the junkyard today. I am struggling with my online search to ensure compatibility with my 2000 Jeep xj. I am planning the unit to be bored to 62mm. It's been less than 10 degrees outside the last few days and I work while it's light out.

Is the WJ throttle body compatible with my XJ? I'm trying to avoid getting under the hood as to expedite the process. I probably won't have the time until weds or thurs to bundle up and pop the hood. It's windy and frigid.

I'd hate to send off a throttle body and waste the cash if it won't work with my XJ. Thanks.. Also if anyone has a link to a good parts interchange reference, I'd be indebted..

If both are 4.0s....should be the exact same.

Interesting, I thought they dropped the 4.0 in the WJ! If it is that beast though, it SHOULD fit. I have no doubt about the physical size but I am not certain if sensor mounting is quite the same, but since the MAP moved down and they're all OBD-2 units I imagine so.

It's labeled 2001 Grand Cherokee. He said he's had it on a shelf since 2006.
