grand cherokee seats in 87-95 XJ?

Has anyone successfully installed grand cherokee, ZJ or other front seats in a XJ 87-95?

If so, any ideas on custom fabricating the seat mounts and pictures of how you mounted the seats.

Good question. There seems to be no definitive info regarding this swap.

Direct fit on my 1996 XJ seat sliders.
From a ZJ.
Isn't the 96 the same as 95 and earlier?

'96 should be the same as '95-earlier for Body, Floor, Console, Seats, Brackets?

'97-up had the different body style, with some differences in the floor if I remember correctly?

96 was a bastard year.

I bolted a set of 96 seats ( front & rear) in my 98 with 0 modifications to the bases. The 98 front seat belt brackets had to be bent a little.
