Default Good location for a vent?

So I got a vent from a Turbo le baron, and am thinking of placing it over the passenger side with an angled drip pan. Good idea?

do it. i like to see pics after it's finish cuz i did pick up a 1990 turbo grand prix hood vents and that's where i want to mount mine too. it's right under the exhaust manifold and all the hot air area so that should be a good place to cut.

looks like a good spot!

anyone running vents on the quarter panel above the wheel well? seems like it would dissipate just as much heat you wouldn't have to deal with drip pans or water on top of the engine.

Heat rises... It'd have an aweful hard time getting past all the crap on the sides of the engine bay to the tiny vent you'd be able to put there...

good point. I was thinking air forced thru the grille would be able to find its way out the side but it prolly wouldn't help much at wheeling speeds.

I wish I had found a car with two vents.

I thought about vents on the fender. Seems like they would be good for higher speed driving.

it would make more sense to have it on the driver's side. then again maybe water could get it through it?

It would make sense but I can't find the double vent cars. I'm also partial to the asymmetric hood style. This vent is also asymmetric. It has an angle down one side that just won't look right on the drivers side.
With any vent heat should rise; maybe not as efficiently. Should I find the double vents or z34 style?
