Default Getting more lift out of a RE 3.5 lift kit ..

Hello everyone . I have a RE 3.5 kit with full leaf pack installed on my XJ . I am trying to get more lift out of it to run 32" tires with the stock fenders .

here is my idea :::

using the RE shackles that give an extra 1.25" in the rear and replacing my 3.5" coil springs with RE 4.5 coils .

What do you guys think ??? Think it will work ??

I do not want to use leaf spring riser blocks ......

Thanks !

Yea why wouldnt it? Or you could get coil spacers for the front. Heck you could even get 2 inch shackles for the rear, those 4.5 inch coils and a 1inch coil spacer.. And get you up another 2inches all the way around.. Just sayin

Your control arm angles will be all wrong and your front axle will get pulled back.

Invest in new adjustable upper and lower control arms or a long arm upgrade if you go that high.

I undrstand what you are saying about the control arms . but the RE 4.5 kit comes with the fixed arms, and that is about the hight it will be sitting at if this all works out ... so i think the fixed arms should work .. correct me if im wrong ..

actualy you are wrong about that ... check the RE site .... both fixed arms are the same for 3.5" and 4.5" . part# RE3700.

so with this a known fact now.... what do you think ??? lol

Yeah I'd say that it would work.. You'd prob just want to do an inch or so though cause you don't want to have to get longer shocks too. I assume you already have a sye and driveshaft right?

yup i got a SYE and CV drive shaft ... also i decided against the RE shocks that came with the kit and am running adjustable shocks with more travel than the RE shocks . i think i will be okay with the shocks, if not i've had my eye on the new bilstein 5160s =)
