Getting 33 inch tires, have questions!
So i'm going to buy some 33 inch tires for my 99 xj with a 3 inch lift and trimmed fenders along with 15x8.5 wheels that have 3.5 backspacing and i have an 8.25 with 3.55 gears. Here are my questions
Can i run 33x12.5 on my wheels?
Will a tranny cooler be nescasary and which one should i get?
Would i rub even with trimmed fenders?
Should i just get 32's and what are the advantages over 33's for my setup?

Would i rub even with trimmed fenders? When turning you will more than likely rub on the lower control arm. There is a screw on the passenger side knuckle that you can put a washer on that will decrease your turning radius and should take care of that. Could still rub elsewhere, just won't know until you do it.

Im probably going to put shackles and coil spacers in eventually along with an adjustable track bar and tc drop and longer brake lines

Then, I would buy the 33" now and deal with rubbing the best you can with bump stopping, etc.
I don't have issues on the road. I just run into problems when out playing big rocks.
