Well it has been a while since I’ve posted here, but I think this is a good time to ask for help!

I am buying the genright xj tank off of my mechanic for a good price and it comes with the required 97+ fuel sending unit as well (sender is from a 98 xj pretty much brand new). Ironically I actually know the dude who used to have it in the xj, but only found out after I bough it. Haha!

Back to the important stuff.

The resistance range for renix fuel gauges is 0-88(90 ohm respectively) but the range for the 97+ is 240-50 ohms (I think that’s right?). I want to be able to use the stock fuel gauge if possible but the problem is I cannot find anything on the interwebulary of someone installing the genright tank on a renix xj using the stock fuel gauge. I did find this on the third gen forums for camaros. This guy figured out how to change the resistors on the stock fuel gauge (0-90 ohm) to work with the aftermarket fuel level sender (50-240). I was wondering if the renix xj has the same resistors in the gauge (given that both the third gen camaro and renix xj are GM cars)? Post #32 shows the resistance output at multiple fuel levels. He said it is more accurate than the stock gauge apparently. Would I be able to do this on the renix gauges as well?
