Its widely agreed that putting any money into a d35 is a waste. will it survive with a locker and gears, maybe but not likely depending on tire size. with the amount of money you will be spending on gears, locker, and install whats $150 more to pull an 8.8 from the junk yard and put those upgrades into that? plus 8.8 gives you disks. at the very least put an 8.25 in there. but to be able to truly help we need more info. what are you planning on doing with the rig, tire size all that jazz

Yes
I have a 8.25
It is locked and geared

Don't waste you time with a D35 because it sucks!! If you want bigger tires your gunu probly need to gear unless you have a 5 speed or you want your engine to hate you. That's a long drive and will be kinda tough on gas as a DD. I lost like 5mpg going to 33s. If your not really wheeling you don't need a locker and gears. If your not really gunu use them. And if you invest in them they will be ruined if that D35 takes a **** on you. You'll need a new locker and have to regear. Start with a stronger axel. 8.25/8.8 in the rear. Can't do to much up front if your not going 44/60 or full width. Big time stuff.
